Hey
I have tryed 3 type of antivirus.
the first test was grissoft, at first i think i was good but anyway nesky.p
whent right true
an was not detected.
so i quit that.
Then i tryed sophos, this didt good by scanning, but it slow down the server
and ewall.
so this i count not live whit.
Now i try f-prot, scanning is good and performes is good.
Even loggin window i can se a better performes than the 2 above.
Know it would be nice to know, what other have tryed and think is bedst.

I am extremely satisfied with eTrust EZ antivirus from CA.
I got a free trial and IMMEDIATELY it got results that AVG didn't
It has been consisten and I see how well it works as I forward a notice to a
special account whenever a virus comes in.
I haven't seen any get by (unless they bypass the Ewall machine)

ETrust seems to be scanning them and removing them for me, password protected or not....

I emailed Norton about it when these new password protected zips first
started making the rounds, and they said : "This action is by design, there
is no problem with our product"...
Nice to see how concerned they are..
Its funny, but I usually am on the FRONT edge of virus reception - i guess
cuz we get so much *SHIT* on our servers all the time, so I constantly get
these 'new' virus's, and constantly send them to norton, mcafee, and
others - and they almost constantly deny there is a problem....then, several
hours, or a day later, they put out a press release about this new virus
they found !
ba ha ha..if it wasnt so sad...id laugh, out loud !

I found that AVG starts to fail when the server is under heavy load.
I remember reading on the SSSolutions web site that the use of AVG is not
recommended and I think it is something to do with it being called as a com
object. (Not Sure may be Alex can shine some light on this)
I tried a whole range of different AV's and finally came up with one that
just seemed to outshine all the others and that was Panda Platinum. It was
much cheaper than sophos and updated itself every hour when applicable.
I stongly suggest that you check it out.
