NO.

nope. sssolutions.com works, but none of the links work. All CGI errors.

Also, FWIW, there are no DNS records returned for www.sssolutions.net, so I imagine that is why it
doesnt work. Also, no DNS for news.sssolutions.net, so most people still wont see your question
here.

I managed to get the files I needed by adding /sssolutions/ before all the
links.

I have NO CLUE why this is happening -

Godaddy points to ZoneEdit and ZoneEdit is set correctly. But when I test
at DNS Tools, it shows the name server as "ns1.gradeserve.com" -

This is the new ISP, but we are not ready to move yet - I fixed it by adding
to ns1.gradeserve.com the DNS info pointing back to the correct IP's

My question is how could gradeserve override Godaddy settings at ZoneEdit ?

Really don't care who handles name server, but do you think I should correct
Godaddy to gradeserve?

see: http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=sssolutions.net

I'll take any answers... Help me out Eric :)

When did you change the records with godaddy? It almost appears that the
root servers have not caught up with your changes for the authoritative DNS
servers.. remember sometimes this can take up to 7 days for the roots to
distribute the changes. The case I see now is that the root servers still
show gradeserve as the authoritative place to do lookups for the domain, not
zoneedit. Now I know why I run my own DNS and point to myself as
authoritative.. less headaches! lol

a whois shows godaddy as the registrar with the following authoritative DNS
servers:
Domain servers in listed order:
NS12.ZONEEDIT.COM
NS8.ZONEEDIT.COM

but a regular DNS lookup shows:

Authoritative Answer: No
Recursion Available: Yes
Truncated (partial answer): No
Answer:
A-record for sssolutions.net.:
IP address = 64.166.100.34
TTL = 3 Hours, 58 Minutes, 5 Seconds
NS-record for sssolutions.net.:
DNS server = ns1.gradeserve.com.
TTL = 1 Day, 23 Hours, 58 Minutes, 5 Seconds
NS-record for sssolutions.net.:
DNS server = ns2.gradeserve.com.
TTL = 1 Day, 23 Hours, 58 Minutes, 5 Seconds
Additional:
A-record for ns1.gradeserve.com.:
IP address = 64.62.148.101
TTL = 1 Day, 23 Hours, 55 Minutes, 11 Seconds
A-record for ns2.gradeserve.com.:
IP address = 64.62.148.102
TTL = 1 Day, 23 Hours, 55 Minutes, 11 Seconds

The thing is, I never touched godaddy and zoneedit. They appear to be the
same as I orignally setup. It's like gradeserve hijack the settings and
override it. Like I said, I fix it by correcting the DNS records at
gradeserve. And since then I went a head and change godaddy to point to
gradeserve DNS - It doesn't really matter which DNS I use as long as it
works.

The part I just don't understand how gradeserve was able to hijack godaddy's
settings in the first place?

I would imagine that they just put in their own DNS entries for your domain,
and put themselves as your DNS Servers. Then it gets distributed to the
root servers, and away it goes. How are the root servers supposed to tell
which one YOU think is the right DNS? They have no clue where the domain is
registered, and then it still doesnt matter anyhow. I think that Gradeserve
has put NS entries in their DNS for your domain.
