eWall 3.0.213 and EWLSP

Postby Alexander Telegin » Sun Jun 08, 2008 11:57 pm

Dear eWall Users,

I'm glad to announce eWall 3.0.213 RC. The main addition is a tight integration with anti-spam scanner Message Sniffer from ARM Research Labs, and new conditions/actions to work with SNF and GBUdb. I'm leaving for 2 weeks travel and will release this version after my return. If you want to try it before, here's a download link:

http://downloads.sssolutions.net/EW3.0.213rc7.zip

To get started with Message Sniffer check manual -> Options reference -> Message Sniffer and Getting started -> Creating filters -> Anti-spam test (Message Sniffer). Also, the Message Sniffer filters can be setup automatically with New agent wizard.

This eWall version also requires new EWLSP, so if you use it, please download here:

http://downloads.sssolutions.net/EWLSP3.0.119rc3.zip

UPD: The critical bug has been fixed in LSP, now it shouldn't interfere with other applications. Please update.

07.01.2008 UPD: Another bug (I hope last) has been fixed in eWall -> LSP communication, please upgrade to RC6 if you use LSP.

07.02.2008 UPD: The bug in Control Panel has been fixed ("Range check error" when trying to create/edit filter), please upgrade to RC7.

Regards,
Alex

Alex,

also noticed small mistype.

when selecting the condition, Recipient in list and editing to add txt file. It shows 'If Sender' in list.

Filter still works thou.

**LSP bug does seem to be fixed, Thanks.... so far haven't seen any conflicts with other applications!

Hi,

I am sorry to say that the new EWLSP completely interferes with FileZilla Server. You can connect locally, but the moment an external connection is made, FileZilla hangs and sometimes the service hangs so badly that the system needs to be restarted.

The provided lines of code are invalid. Please check the scripting manual -> Scripting for examples. The only problem I found was unregistered TSPFResult class. It's fixed now and available here:

Well they weren't invalid before ;)

RC7a seems to be okay with these lines.

I did change...
dow= new TVars(0);

to...
dow= new TVars();

(It seems like before the TVars constructor didn't work without the parameter, I only remember because it took me forever to figure that out.)

The other line works now as is.

Thanks!

This is new...

!Script error: I/O error 32 at Line: 344 -

(The last line in the script is 343, there is no line 344. The code on line 343 was just "return;")

This happened in the OnConnect event and the OnMessage-Inbound event

It's sporadic, only happened twice all day.

Hm... try to use return with some value, for example, return false;
