Deploy remote admin tools

Postby chrisk » Tue Jun 03, 2014 5:08 pm

Good Day!

Can you advise the proper method to provide remote administrators with the ability to monitor eWall reporting?

We've copied the install directory to a local PC - and executed the EwCfg4.exe file and specified the login information and credentials of the host server.

This worked, but Windows through several access violation errors (program read from an illegal block of RAM) throughout.

I have not been able to find a method in the manual on how to properly setup the remote admin tools.

Thanks!

Chris

You can monitor it via eWall Control Panel or any remoting software, e.g. TeamViewer.

Is it possible to deploy JUST the console on a remote workstation?

Sorry, what do you mean by console? There's a couple of services and Control Panel. You can install them separately or both.

I'm sorry, I meant just the control panel. I wanted to install it without any other unneeded aspects. I now see the process which I passed over quickly during the original install. Thanks for the clarification.
