My suggestion would be to try a windows port of Clam AV like:

Very fast and stable.
HowTo Make ClamD as a service you can follow my notes here and ignore the hMailserver info at end of post.

also think TBB, developer of that version made the installer version install reg entries and you can start the service from the cmd. Check his notes for details and you can skip my how-to.

another thought, if using the version of clamwin that Alex suggests you would want to use clamDscan instead.

If your using ClamWin, this was not intended for server use, and will run into stability and performance problems(If server is under heavy load). Move to ClamAV port for server use. (ClamAV soon will be release a win32 version)

David is right. If you are going to use ClamWin for server environment, it will eat resources and cause delays. I'd recommend hold on for ClamD, which support will be available in next eWall.
