Messagesniffer says connection refused

Postby blackbox » Sun Apr 01, 2012 2:23 pm

hi all

the past couple of days, we have been getting a lot more spam than usual, and i then checked the ewall, and tried the test SNF button, and it returns with a Connection Refused error?

i have checked everything and everything seems normal, but it just won't connect to SNF

i then tried to reinstall ewall 3.0.217 but it fails when trying to download message sniffer plugin?

where can i get the complete version of ewall or can you make the download link to message sniffer work again?

sincerely Carsten Larsen

Try to telnet at 127.0.0.1 port 9001 and see if SNF accepts the connection.

hi alex, never mind, i uploaded an 20 days old backup of the machine to another xenserver, and now it works.

another question, is there any easy way that i can transfer the mail boxes from the last 20 days onto the new server?

To move accounts you need to copy folder %COMMON APPDATA%\Server Side Solutions\eWall 4.0\data\accounts to similar location at new server.
