Fatal Error in eWall

Postby caylor93 » Thu Mar 20, 2014 9:47 pm

Getting the following error in the eWall php log when it tries to scan with Paranoid:

2014-03-20 15:42:56 1 4594
2014-03-20 15:42:56 1 4594 Fatal error: ew_scan_paranoid(): Unexpected Paranoid reply: in D:\eWall 4.0\data\on_message.php on line 104

line 104 is: $result = ew_scan_paranoid( $pnd_ip, $pnd_port, $EW_SESSION['last_recipient'] );

I have checked that the IP and port in the filter rule matches what Paranoid is running on. Paranoid is running as I see it show in the Paranoid log:

Does it happen with every Paranoid scan?

Yes, it was.

I think the dictionary became corrupted somehow. I imported the default.pnd and switched to the new dictionary and it started working again. I had noticed that the other dictionary said it had a volume of 7034211538042880 and a size of 1906.05 MB. That seemed a bit odd so I thought I'd try a new dictionary. Not sure what caused that, but hoping that it doesn't happen to the new dictionary.
