Ok makes sense how eWall works with Paranoid, but I'm still not clear how eWall works with Argosoft's mail server. Does it act as a kind of proxy? (Ie. it actually receives the inbound SMTP traffic and passes it on to the mail server if it's accepted.)
Thanks.

Just out of curiousity, what's your development environment?

Yes, eWall is a real-time proxy (the client's command is immediately sent to mail server). For eWall v3 and Paranoid v3 Borland Delphi 7 was used. For upcoming eWall4 this is Codegear Delphi2009 and Codeblocks with Mingw (I have planes to run it on Linux).

Makes sense now. Thanks. I see you have a 30 day trial too. Cool! I'll download it and give it a try.
