problem forwarding email

Postby francesco71 » Mon Oct 04, 2010 11:23 am

Hello Alex,

I have a problem with the action "forward a copy".
Mail Server is ArgSoft .Net

I need to check if an header (to and/or from) contains user1@... forward a copy to user2@....

I get 2 error message depending if it is from or to. If user 1 is in "to", the user that sent the message will receive an error message telling that "user2 has not get the email"!
If user 1 is "from" there is a loop and user 2 will get 10 or more emails.

The same filters with ArgoSoft and MailFilter worked finely.

Can you please also give me the link in order to download the latest release of Ewall 3.0? Thanks I'm using 3.0.217

Check the eWall MTA settings, try to point it directly at ArGo SMTP port.

The latest eWall: http://downloads.sssolutions.net/EW3.0.217.zip

Dear Alex,

I tried to modify as you suggest but it didn't change or better the change is that there is not any forwarded email. In Ewall log it seems that Ewall filter is recognized and applyied but there is not any effect in argosoft.

Thanks if you can have some suggestion: better position of the filter, ...

Best regards
Francesco

Once "forward email" action is triggered, you can watch the forwarding process at Control Panel -> Logs -> MTA tab. Is there any activity?
